Christmas 2009

My parents flew in from El Paso to celebrate Christmas with us. We had a quiet Christmas here in Seabrook. It was a sunny and cold day which is rare for Seabrook.

Our Milestones Part II

After about one year Roberto surprised me with a little Cairn Terrier. His name is Aluche Misterio. He is named after a Mexican midget wrestler. Aluche has one heck of a sweet and lovable personality.

Our one year anniversary! Time goes by so quick. We actually had the top tier of our wedding cake sealed and saved so we could eat it on our one year anniversary. It was fantastic!

Evacuating a city due to a hurricane was horrible! We were definitely ahead of the ball game though. About two weeks before hurricane Ike Houston was threatened with Gustav. We boarded about 75% of our house when Gustav was a threat. A lot of our neighbors thought we were geeks. Even though Gustav didn't hit Houston we decided to leave up the boards. A few weeks later Ike was on the move and Houston was in the cone of uncertainty. We finished boarding up the house 100% before our neighbors even started to board up their homes. We have never in our lives felt so much anxiety and fear. It wasn't easy traveling across Texas with just me, Roberto, Smokey, Nanook and important paperwork. We are truly blessed because when we returned home after the hurricane hit our house was in PERFECT condition! And we live across the street from the water! Our house wasn't touched by an angel it was touched by God himself! It truly was a miracle to come home to a home.

Smokey and Nanook are best of friends. Even though Nanook can be a little aggressive at times-he is quite a lovable dog! Smokey spends hours licking Nanook to get him clean. They are the best!

Our Milestones

Our first house but definitely not our last house. The purchasing house process was quite stressful. We are just glad that those days are in the past and we are continuing to move forward.

After four years of engagement Roberto and I finally tied the knot! Surprisingly, we didn't have any nerves on our wedding day. We were both colm and collect. It was definnitely time! It was a magical day.

Moving to Houston was one of the most exciting stages in our lives. We were officially professionals in the working industry versus broke college students. The thought of starting a life together was extrememly exciting for both of us!

Roberto and I graduated from NMSU and haven't really looked back since. We are both very proud to be NMSU Aggies!

Welcome!

Welcome to our blog! Now that we have internet in our house we can finally update our blog that we started almost 1.5 years ago.

Blogs have become very popular over the past few years so we think it might be best to jump on the blog wagon. This blog will be a continuing test on our grammatical skills.
