This past weekend Andrea came to visit me and of course we had an ultimate blast! She is truly an amazing woman. Still, one of my few wishes is for her to move to Houston so we can be even closer.
I took her to Boondoggles so she could have a nice cold chocolate stout and a juicy brick oven pizza. It did not take us too long to start cracking up like no other!
After spending Friday night with beer and pizza we spent Saturday night having martinis at the Cheesecake Factory. It was so much fun! Again, we couldn't stop laughing since that is just who we are. We bring a lot of joy into each others life. Meanwhile, Robert and our other friend kind of sat back and watched me and Andrea cracking up for not apparent reason.

Christmas and New Years 2011
For Christmas Roberto, Nanook and Aluche and I decided to drive down to El Paso to visit the family and get some skiing in:). The exciting part was that Rinita and Kwami came with us! They are so much fun to travel with! Rinita is the best trooper because she was six months pregnant at the time and she didn't have any pains or discomfort! I was so concerned about her comfort levels since the drive is 12 hours. Ironically, she slept great most of the way and I didn't! Then again, I never sleep on road trips. I am too focused.
Anyhow, we celebrated Christmas Eve at my in-laws house and Christmas day with my parents. After we had some good and fatty eats we drove up to my parents cabin and stayed there for the remainder of our stay in the southwest. It was GREAT! We sled, we skied, we shopped, we ate A LOT, we watched movies, we played board games and we laughed A LOT. Here are some pictures to bring everyone up to speed.
Note: This was the first time that Nanook and Aluche experienced large amounts of snow. They were scared at first but after a day or two they couldn't get enough of it!

Happy Halloween!
Roberto and I take Halloween very seriously. We never ever want to disappoint our little trick or treaters. Every year we get more little trick or treaters because the word is spreading that we have the scariest house:) (we know this because the kids tell us). This year we even had little puppies dressed up and YES, THEY GOT A TREAT TOO:).
There was this little boy dressed as a transformer and he unknowingly walked passed one of our motion activated halloween decor and panicked! He ran across the yard screaming HELP HELP! It was hilarious! When the little kids rang the door bell they would get scared because they didn't know who was going to answer. One little princess was so scared when she saw me she couldn't say trick or treat. She told me that it is very scary in our front yard and it looked scary in our house. I responded to her saying well of course little princess its HALLOWEEN!
When I was growing up Halloween was a very serious holiday in our house. Pops, Andrea, Adam and I would make scare crows and halloween crafts. I loved doing that and will continue to do that! The picture below is one of my cheaply made halloween crafts:). Kids screamed when they saw it. It was precious!
Every year we try to improve our halloween decorations too. We are already thinking about what we are going to do NEXT YEAR!
Here are a couple of pictures of our house:).
Stay tuned for next year! It is going to be a even scarier event:).

The Little Girl From Across The Street Part III
The little girl from across the street came to visit us this weekend! It is always so great when she comes because no matter what WE LAUGH like NO OTHER! It is very clear in the following pictures that Andrea and I have too much innocent fun:).
Roberto is such a trooper! He didn't bug us when we continued out SATC marathon! We almost got through the sixth season! Good gracious I am so lucky to have such an understanding and supportive husband when it comes to our SATC marathons:).
A couple friends, Roberto, Andrea and I decided to go eat at Pappasitos. Andrea needed to experience her first watermelon margarita! It was soooooo tasty! She loved it! We had an exceptional ab workout from laughing so hard because Andrea was drinking her margarita with a spoon. She had her margarita on the rocks and there were chunks of watermelon that she couldn't suck through the straw. The funny part was that she would unintentionally blow on her watermelon chunks as if it were a soup! It was hilarious!
I must say...I can't WAIT to see the little girl from across the street again!

Viva Mexico!!!!!!
Despite the crime in Mexico...Roberto and I traveled to Cancun Mexico for a week with some great and awesome friends. Kwami and Rinita are truly two of a kind and really compliment each other!
The weather in Cancun was absolutely spectacular, the beach was AMAZING, the food was fabulous, the drinks were tasty and endless, AND the service was EXCEPTIONAL.
We stayed at a resort called the Royal Caribbean and it had a private beach. The resort was SOOOO empty that the private beach felt like our own personal beach:). We could not have asked for more.
Rinita, Kwami, Roberto and I spent a lot of team lounging at the beach and messing around:).
There were days where we would just sit at the beach and just stare at the Caribbean for HOURS on end because it was so beautiful. The water looked like it was glowing! We also couldn't get over how fine the beach sand was. Regardless how hot the day was the beach sand NEVER got hot. It never reached a temperature where you couldn't walk barefoot on the beach. The beach sand was beautiful!
Every night at the resort and at the adjacent resorts there was a dinner theme night. We had dinner at the Royal Mayan one night and the theme was Mexican night...go figure;). They had live entertainment which included the different styles of dancing in the different parts of Mexico and a show on Mayan history. The meal was FANTASTIC! The tacos were ACTUAL tacos! None of this taco bell hard shell stuff. The margaritas were ENDLESS. All you can drink is always a good way to top off dinner.
One day, we agreed to go visit some Mayan Ruins. It was amazing. The history behind these ruins is intense. We bumped into a lot of iguanas. They were so cute! Some would pose for us and once we were done taking pictures of them they would go into they little holes.
We decided to take a boat and visit Isla Mujeres to snorkel the coral reef. The snorkeling was AMAZING! We snorkeled with schools of fish and I swear I saw multiple Nemos! It was so beautiful. I have never in my life seen water so clear. The sad part was the boat ride to Isla Mujeres got me severely seasick. I don't think I can handle a cruise. We were told the boat ride was a 15 to 20 minute ride. In reality, it was about a 45 minute ride. It was tough but I didn't throw up:). I would have if the ride took longer than 45 minutes. It was rough BUT worth it!
Roberto and I are so blessed to have each other AND GREAT friends. We had such a wonderful time with Kwami and Rinita. They are so down to earth and awesome! We look forward to our next trip and another drunken adventure with them:). Thank you for inviting us and we love you guys!
